Taberer Attorneys was started by Roy and Michelle Taberer in 2018.

Roy had been a partner in another IP law firm based in Johannesburg for several years, and when he decided to move with his family to Cape Town, Taberer Attorneys was born.

Michelle’s strong corporate background in project management, business process and systems implementation, supported the fledgling business to get off the ground, whilst with Roy’s extensive experience in IP law, he could focus on the clients and legal aspects of the practice. The firm has grown from strength to strength, and we are fortunate to partner with the most amazing clients.

What gets us excited is being able to support our clients through all the stages of their business – from the birth of their invention, through formation of a company in which to house their innovation-based business, to building their business through protecting and commercialising their innovation.
